How Does Admission Work?
Admission to Mecca begins with an initial consultation or referral. Once the clinical team has assessed the patient and confirmed that inpatient care is appropriate, the admissions process is initiated. This includes completing the required documentation, confirming financial arrangements, and preparing the patient's room and treatment plan.
The team aims to make this process as smooth as possible. If you are enquiring on behalf of a family member, the admissions team will walk you through every step.
Admission Fees
A compulsory admission fee is payable upon admission:
- Medical aid patients: N$ 500.00
- Cash patients: N$ 450.00
Daily Rates
The daily rate for cash patients is N$ 1,300.00 per day. This rate is inclusive of:
- Accommodation and lodging
- Nutritious meals
- Occupational therapy sessions
- Music therapy
- Other therapeutic and rehabilitative activities

Medical Aid Patients
For medical aid patients, services are subject to scheme approval and benefit availability. The admissions team can assist with pre-authorisation and will advise on any out-of-pocket costs. Please have your medical aid details ready when you contact us, including your scheme name, membership number, and any relevant authorisation information.
If your medical aid benefits are exhausted during your stay, the team will discuss the available options with you and your family in advance to avoid unexpected costs.
